ABOUT TRUE SPORTS TV
True Sports TV is a collection of Instagram pages dedicated to reporting and covering all the top sports in the world. Their vision is to connect fans with their favorite sports as seamlessly and easily as possible; to bring fans reporting actually true to the game. With Instagram accounts covering football, basketball, baseball, soccer, hockey, gambling, women's sports, music and entertainment, esports, and more, there are more than 10+ pages in the True Sports ecosystem.
Currently, True Sports is the biggest sports social media brand in Canada with over 384,000 followers across all pages. As a young startup media company, True Sports is now in its Series A fundraising round, raising over $1 million to aid its business causes.
MY ROLE & GOALS WITH TRUE SPORTS TV
When I first joined True Sports, I was brought on as the football department manager; I posted, created, and scheduled all content related to American football. Whether that was on the main True Sports-branded account or on the football-specific account, I headed the football efforts within True Sports. My goal heading all things football was to grow the football page in terms of followers and engagement over the course of a year.
After a successful year of managing all football content, I was promoted to the Engagement & Analytics Manager within True Sports. In this role, I was responsible for tracking and recording all insights and analytics from our True Sports-branded Instagram pages; this ranged from weekly, monthly, and yearly engagement reports. After reporting all analytics, I would act as the liaison between our page-specific social media managers and our Board of Directors, consulting and giving advice on what the managers should do to grow each page in specific.
