ABOUT THE NFL & NFL DRAFT
The NFL is the highest of professional football leagues across the world. Across 22 states and 32 teams, some may argue the NFL is the most popular professional sports league in the country, and potentially even the world.
The NFL Draft is a recurring event that takes place during the last weekend of April. This is where all of college football's best players are selected by teams of the NFL; between 250-260 players are selected every year in the NFL Draft and turn pro. Within the last 10 years, the NFL has decided to select a different host city every year to host the draft, giving way to many cities across America to host one of football's biggest spectacles.
MY ROLE WITH THE NFL DRAFT
My role with the NFL Draft and the Detroit Sports Commission was to help in many capacities to ensure the smoothest sailing event possible. I made sure that messaging and coordination between the host city of Detroit and the representatives from the NFL were crystal clear and assisted with any administrative and event support needed.
My goal with the NFL Draft was to make sure everything was prepared, set up, and executed so that the NFL Draft weekend in Detroit could be as interactive and positively outward-facing as possible. Focusing mainly on event preparation and operations within the Fan Experience zone, I was a source of help for many activations, sponsors, and logistics.

A backdrop I was responsible for planning and setting up: NFL Draft Detroit picture background.

One of the activations I was responsible for planning and managing: the mock-NFL Draft stage and jersey presentation booth.

Another activation I was responsible for managing: the passing contest booth.
